Description
The Ford Flathead came in many different Cubic Inches over the years.
The 221 CI came out in 1932 with 65 HP. By 1933 it increased to 75 HP then to 85 HP in 1934. Buy when 1937 rolled out the Flathead came in two different CID's and 3 different Horse Power options. The 221 came in both a 85 and 94 HP variants were as a much smaller 136 CI engine with a 60 Horsepower rating.
By the start of the WW2 Ford threw a bigger engine out onto the street, bigger then the 221. A 239 came out with 95 horses while the 221 stayed at 85 and the 136 at 94 horses.
